- The Crusaders have gone 1-2 against the Friars in the last three meetings; splitting the series in 2009-2010 and losing 6-0 in September of last fall. Last season, sophomore Maya Welch (Rye, N.Y.) and senior Jen Daffron (Ramsey, N.J.) took their singles matches to extra games in the sweep.
- Over the last few seasons, the Crusaders have typically begun their season at the Salve Regina Doubles Tournament. The team has also finished in third place in both 2009 and 2010. Highlighting last season was the second flight duo of Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.) and Emma Rudnik (Lake Bluff, Ill.), who lost in the first round but then when on to win the consolation bracket.
- Holy Cross has won two straight matches so far this season. This is the best start for the squad since the 2006-2007 season when the Crusaders topped Merrimack and Hartford before losing their next nine matches. This is also the first time in over seven seasons that the squad has swept two straight matches.
