WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's tennis team suffered its fourth straight 7-0 loss to Bryant in the only home match of the spring at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. With the final tally, the Crusaders go to a record of 0-10 on the season while the Bulldogs even their record at 8-8.
Junior Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.) was able to take her No. 3 singles match to a third set, but fell 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 to Bryant's Stephanie Smyers. The rest of the Crusaders dropped their matches in straight sets as freshman Carrie Dajani (Lake Forest, Ill.) made her collegiate debut in the No. 6 singles spot. Bryant won the doubles point as well.
The Crusaders return to action on Thursday, April 7, making up the match against Hartford that was rained out on Tuesday. Matches are set to begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Hartford Tennis Courts in Hartford, Conn.
