Women's Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision To Lehigh
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Holy Cross women's tennis team suffered its third straight 7-0 loss to Lehigh in the final match of Patriot League weekend action at the Lichtenberg Tennis Courts. With the final tally, the Crusaders go to a record of 0-9 (0-3 PL) on the season while the Mountain Hawks improve to a record of 3-9 (1-0 PL).
Lehigh swept all three doubles matches and then won all six singles matches. Freshman Maya Welch (Rye, N.Y.) took her first set to 7-5 in the No. 4 singles match, but lost, 7-5, 6-0.
Holy Cross hosts its spring home opener on Saturday, April 2 against Clark. The rescheduled match will begin at 1:00 p.m. on the Holy Cross Tennis Courts.
