Women's Tennis Tabbed Seventh In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team was selected to finish seventh in the 2011 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Defending Patriot League champion Army was picked first, earning 71 points and 11 first-place votes.

Navy and Bucknell tied for second place, each earning 57 points. The Midshipmen also had three first-place votes. Rounding out the voting was Colgate (38 points), Lehigh (37), Lafayette (19) and Holy Cross (15).

The Crusaders open up the spring portion of their 2010-2011 slate on Saturday, Feb. 19, playing against Sacred Heart on Yale's tennis courts in New Haven, Conn. Match time is set for 4:00 p.m.
