Womens Tennis Has Eight Named To Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Eight members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2010 Patriot League women's tennis Academic Honor Roll. Seniors Ivette Konopka (Shelton, Conn.) and Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine) were named to the list for their fourth time.
The Crusaders top the list for women's tennis players on the honor roll, tied for most in the Patriot League with Colgate. Other crusader players on the Academic Honor Roll include seniors Hailee Lange (Miami, Fla.), and Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Bluff, Ill.). Three sophomores on the list include Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.), Lauren Evans (Visalia, Calif.) and Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.). Jessica DeSimone (Lincoln, R.I.) finishes off the list as a freshman.
A total of 42 student-athletes from women's tennis teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
