- The Holy Cross women’s tennis team returns to the courts for three matches this week after breaking for Easter. The team will first face off against Hartford on Wednesday, April 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. The team looks to pick up its second win of the season against the Hawks as they won, 5-2, in the fall. Five of six singles players won their matches, as senior Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine), sophomore Carolyn Chandley (Worcester, Mass.) and sophomore Lauren Evans (Visalia, Calif.) earned their first singles victories of the season and look to continue their winning streak.
- The team will then play in its fourth Patriot League match-up of the season, hosting Navy on Friday, April 7 starting at 3:00 p.m. This will be the first time any member of the current Holy Cross roster has played against a Navy women’s tennis team. The Midshipmen currently stand on top of the Patriot League standings with a 2-2 league record, 10-10 overall. The Navy women dropped their first Patriot League match in program history on March 27, a 6-1 loss to Bucknell.
- The week ends with a competition against the Providence Friars on Saturday, April 11. The match will again serve as the second time this season that Holy Cross has competed against Providence. The Friars got the best of the Crusaders this fall, winning 6-1 in Worcester, Mass. Providence swept the six singles matches to spoil the Holy Cross women's tennis team's home-opener. The spring match will be held in Providence, R.I. starting at 12:00 p.m.
