- The Holy Cross women’s tennis team was washed out of its Tuesday contest at Bryant due to inclement weather in the area. The match has been postponed until Tuesday, April 13 in Smithfield, R.I., beginning at 3:00 p.m.
- The team will break for Easter before resuming competition on Wednesday, April 6. Hartford will visit Worcester, Mass. for a 3:30 p.m. match held at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. The teams have already faced off over the fall season, with the Crusaders coming away with a 5-2 victory.
- Senior Hailee Lange (Miami, Fla.) picked up her first two victories on the spring season at No. 4 singles last week, winning back-to-back matches against Babson and Army. She topped Army’s Maria Casletto in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, earning her first career win over a Black Knight foe. The team lost to Army, 6-1, but tallied its first point since competing as members of the Patriot League.
- Fellow senior Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.) is now the team’s top singles competitor, as she now holds a 6-5 mark. She earned her sixth win against Lehigh on March 28, topping Izzy Breit in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles. She has a total record of 4-3 when playing at No. 6, 1-0 at No. 4 and 1-2 at No. 5.
