Women's Tennis Picked Seventh In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team was selected to finish seventh in the 2010 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Defending Patriot League champion Army was picked first, earning 71 points and 11 first-place votes.

Colgate followed the Black Knights, as the Raiders were selected to finish second with 60 points. Rounding out the voting was Bucknell (56 points), a tie between Navy and Lehigh (42 points apiece), Lafayette (21) and Holy Cross (20). Navy received one first-place vote.

Holy Cross, who began its spring schedule against Sacred Heart on Feb. 20, will take two weeks off from competition before hosting Albany on Saturday, March 13. Matches are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross tennis courts in Worcester, Mass.
