WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head coach Lisa Meola announced the Holy Cross women's tennis 2010 spring slate today. The team will jump right into the season on Feb. 20 when they play Sacred Heart in New Haven, Conn.
Twelve other matches complete the schedule, with four of the events hosted by Holy Cross at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. The team's first home event will be held March 13 in a match with Albany. The team will then play Quinnipiac on March 20 in Hamden, Conn. The team will return for its second home match on March 23 when they play Stonehill and will travel to Babson Park on March 24 to play Babson. On March 26, the team will travel to West Point, N.Y. where it will play against defending Patriot League Tournament champion and 2009 NCAA Tournament participant, Army. That same weekend on March 27 and 28, the Crusaders will play Lafayette and Lehigh. The team will then travel to Smithfield, R.I. to play Bryant on March 30.
Two home matches follow against Hartford on April 7 and Navy on April 9. Rounding out the spring season will be the Patriot League Tournament, held from April 16-18 in Hamilton, N.Y.
