Matches are set to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Hartford Tennis Courts. Last year, the team topped the Hawks 6-1 at home. All three doubles teams won their matches and No. 1 singles player Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine) won her fourth match of the season, leading the team. Holy Cross has not lost a match to Hartford since the 2004-2005 season.
  • Senior Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.) and sophomore Emily Marr (Jefferson, Mass.) posted the best records for the team (1-1) in singles play after the first week, both earning singles victories against Siena. Marr, who is the team's No. 3 singles player, comes off a 14-8 singles record from the 2008-2009 season. Her 14 singles wins tied for the lead on the team.
  • Wilkie looks to improve on her finish from last season where she set a career-best .818 singles winning percentage, leading the team. In 2008-2009 she had a 1-0 record at No. 5 singles and a 5-2 record at No. 6 singles in dual play. So far this season she dropped her first singles match as the No. 5 player and came back for a win as the No. 4 singles player on Sunday.
