Crusaders Close Out Regular Season At Patriot League Meet

  • Holy Cross traveled to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Patriot League Championships on Feb 19-21. The Crusaders finished in eighth place with 144 points. Colgate claimed first place with 862 points, Navy took second with 759.5 points, Bucknell finished third with 656.5 points, American in fourth (315.5 points), Army in fifth (303 points), Lehigh in sixth (262.5 points) and Lafayette in seventh (180 points).


  • At the Championships, junior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) finished 10th in the 100 breast and broke her own school record with a time of 1:05.47. Gousman also took 13th place in the 200 breast with a time of 2:27.42. The 400 medley relay, swam by sophomore Gael Carter (Tampa, Fla.), Gousman, freshman Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) and junior Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) finished in seventh place with a season-best time of 4:02.11.


  • Gousman and Carrazza will travel to the ECAC Open Championships in Cambridge, Mass. on Feb. 28-March 1. Gousman will swim the 100 and 200 breast, while Carrazza will compete in the 100 and 200 free.
