Holy Cross defeated Providence 176-124 on Saturday, Jan. 31 in Providence, R.I.
Against Providence, junior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) finished first in three individual events and one relay event. Gousman finished first in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:16.80, first in the 200 meter breaststroke with a time of 2:48.73, first in the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:33.59 and first in the 200 meter medley relay with a time of 2:09.60. Freshman Lindsay Mlazgar (Bloomington, Minn.) finished second on the one meter board with a season-best score of 140.47.
Junior diver Rachael Martinez (Chelmsford, Mass.) has qualified for the ECAC Open Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 21-March 1 in the one meter and three meter diving competition.
The Crusaders host Bryant on Tuesday, Feb. 3 in their last regular season dual meet.
