Holy Cross Women's Swimming & Diving Team Defeated By Siena, 170-130

TROY, N.Y. - Three members of the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team were double event winners, but it was not enough as the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team fell to Siena, 170-130, Wednesday night. The Crusaders fall to 1-3 overall (0-1 Patriot League), while the Saints (1-2) gain their first victory of the season.

For the Crusaders, junior Rachael Martinez (Chelmsford, Mass.) won the one meter and three meter dive with scores of 209.03 and 215.48. In the pool, junior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:10.38) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:32.61). Freshman Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.) also was a double event winner, touching the wall first in the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.32) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:24.22).

Also finishing first for Holy Cross was freshman Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) in the 200 yard butterfly (2:12.23).

The Holy Cross men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to Patriot League action at Army on November 5 at 6:00 p.m.
