WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman diver Adam DeVito (Walpole, Mass.) set a new school one meter diving record as the Holy Cross men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed against Patriot League opponent Lehigh at the Hart Center on Sunday, October 19. The women's team (1-1, 0-1 Patriot League) fell to Lehigh 69-172, while the men (0-2, 0-2 Patriot League) lost 183-60.
DeVito finished first and broke the school record in the one meter diving competition with a score of 251.85. The record was previously held by Tim Tuck, set in 2003, with a score of 228.15. DeVito also won the three meter diving competition with a score of 240.90.
For the women's team, junior diver Rachael Martinez (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished first in the three meter dive with a score of 207.59, while freshman Annie O'Shea touched the wall first in the 200 yard butterfly (2:13.87).
The Crusaders will compete again at Springfield on October 22 at 6:00 p.m.
