Crusaders Win Worcester City Championships

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team took first place in the two-day Worcester City Championships this weekend at the Hart Pool in Worcester.

The competition featured Clark University, WPI and Holy Cross, with the Crusaders posting 470 points. Worcester Polytechnic finished second with 272 points and Clark finished with 268 points.

HC's Emily Ferris placed first in three events (200 Back, 200 IM, 100 Back), while Kaitlin McCrossen had two first place finishes in the 100 Free and the 500 Free.

Abby Lemieux placed first in the 1000 Free, Jen Knapp took home the 200 Breast and Andrea Doherty and Carolyn Cody won the 200 Butterfly and 400 IM, respectively.
