|Position:||Volunteer Assistant Coach|
Kevin Mullaney is entering his second season as the Graduate Assistant Swimming Coach for Holy Cross. He will be responsible for much of the strength and conditioning program as well as the recruitment of potential future Crusaders. Mullaney swam for Holy Cross from 2003 until 2007 and served as Captain his Senior year. As Captain he was instrumental in victories against Fairfield, Clark, and WPI. He led the team to its first Worcester City Championship in several years. His events were the 200 IM and 200 Butterfly, and he placed in the Top Sixteen in the 200 Butterfly at The Patriot League Championships in 2006. He earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll every year he was on the team. During the summer months, Mullaney coaches The Livingston Aquajets, a summer swim team based in Northern New Jersey. He swam for the team for seven seasons before being appointed to Assistant Coach in 2003. In 2006 Mullaney was named Head Coach, and he is currently the youngest Head Coach in the Fourth Division, which is the most competitive Division in all of North Jersey. Since Mullaney has been Head Coach, the team has nearly doubled in size. In 2008 the Livingston Aquajets placed second overall in their Division, losing only to Westfield, a team that has not lost in 26 years. His brother Matthew (19) and sister Maura (12) are also members of the team. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Holy Cross in 2007, Mullaney accepted a Teaching Fellowship at the Jesuit run Nativity School of Worcester. While at Nativity he served as a teacher, a coach, and was responsible for coordinating the school's Intramural Program, which works in conjunction with Holy Cross's SPUD Program. Mullaney also served as an intern in the Holy Cross Athletic Department and assisted with fundraising and alumni events. He currently works in the Athletic Department as a Media Relations and Compliance Assistant. Mullaney is originally from Livingston, New Jersey and swam under Coach Randy Schweitzer for Seton Hall Prep from 1999-2003. He was Captain of the team as a Senior and consistently placed in the Conference and County rankings in the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle events. The team was undefeated all four years Mullaney swam. He currently resides in Worcester. His younger brother Matthew is a sophomore swimmer at Holy Cross.
