ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its 2014 season on Saturday at the Patriot League Championship as junior Anna Villani (Hanover, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a 22nd place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:16.87.
Sophomore Claire O'Brien (Bedford, N.Y.) led Holy Cross in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.68. Junior Kristie Coleman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the team's top finisher in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.59. Freshman Gina DeFloria (Greensburg, Pa.) touched the wall first for the Crusaders in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:38.12.
At the night session, freshman Colleen Harrison (Lake Forest, Ill.) finished 21st with a season-best time of 18:22.99. The 400-yard freestyle relay team comprised of Harrison, freshman Alicia Perry (Sudbury, Mass.), DeFloria and junior Mary Kate Schulte (Des Moines, Iowa) took 10th with a time of 3:41.27. Navy won the team competition with a total of 778 points.
The 2014 women's swimming and diving season has come to a close.
