ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Five freshmen led the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team as it continued action at the 2014 Patriot League Championship on Friday at Navy. Alicia Perry (Sudbury, Mass.) earned the top Crusader finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.48.
Other rookie top finishers for Holy Cross included Kristin Lane (White Plains, N.Y.) in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 5:02.09, Colleen Harrison (Lake Forest, Ill.) in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.86, Gina DeFloria (Greensburg, Pa.) in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.63 and Kaitlin Jacob (New Milford, N.J.) in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.04.
On the diving side, junior Alicia LiCalzi (New Canaan, Conn.) participated in the one-meter dive and finished with a score of 156.55. The 400-yard medley relay team comprised of Jacob, DeFloria, Perry and Harrison also finished 10th with a time of 4:09.47. Navy leads the team competition with 525 points.
The women's swimming and diving team will conclude the 2014 Patriot League Championship tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 22, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
