Women's Swimming And Diving Returns To Action At Terrier Invitational
BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team returned to action this weekend, Nov. 16-18, at the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University. Senior Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) finished 15th in the 400 individual medley and 100 backstroke to lead the Crusaders.
Kristen Desrosiers touched the wall with times of 4:43.41 (400 IM) and 1:02.38 (100 back). She also finished 23rd in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:16.36 and 32nd in the 50 freestyle at 55.87. Other top swimmers for Holy Cross included senior Natalie Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) who took 18th in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes with times of 1:10.73 and 2:32.59, respectively and sophomore Anna Villani (Hanover, Mass.) who finished 13th in the 1650 freestyle and touched the wall at 18:36.34. Villani also took 20th in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:20.65.
Sophomore Mary Kate Schulte (Des Moines, Iowa) took 14th in the 1650 freestyle (18:55.57) while fellow classmate Katherine Shreve (Sturbridge, Mass.) took 21st in the 400 IM at 4:52.16. Senior Katelyn Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) finished 19th in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.11) and 20th in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.24) and freshman Shannon Quinn (Garden City, N.Y.) took 20th in the 200 backstroke (2:23.56).
The Crusaders will return to action on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 10-Dec. 1, at the Harold Anderson Invitational. Preliminary races are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Friday and the meet will continue at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
