2011-2012: Competed in our different individual events including the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley…posted season-best times at the Terrier Invitational in the 100 breast (1:13.82), 200 breast (2:36.33) and 200 IM (2:21.76)…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2010-2011: Finished in 21st place in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.02 at the Patriot League Championship.

Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the varsity swim team at Ronald Reagan H.S...team captain senior year...All-Conference all four years...team was regional champions and state runners-up in 2007, 2008 and 2009...member of the cross country team in 2007 and 2008...All-Conference both seasons...also a three-year member of the track and field team...named Rookie of the Year...swam for the Northwest Riptyde club team...member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of James and Laura McGowan...has two brothers (Bruce and Sean) and one sister (Theresa)...self-designed major through the Center for Interdisciplinary and Special Studies.
