WORCESTER, Mass. – Eighteen members of the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office. Senior Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.) was named to the honor roll for the fourth time. Sophomore Kelsey Poremba (Bedford, N.H.) led the team with a 3.94 GPA. The Crusaders' 18 selections were the third most in the league.
The other members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Colleen Bucci (Falmouth, Maine), Monica Cullen (Maplewood, N.J.), Carolynn Fitzgerald (Belle Harbor, N.Y.), Kendra Kline (Queensbury, N.Y.), Lauren Leary (North Eastham, Mass.) and Madison Walsh (Ridgefield, Conn.); juniors Katelyn Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine), Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) and Laura Webber (Hampden, Mass.); sophomores Katie Luther (Omaha, Neb.), Megan Marrkand (Westford, Mass.), Eileen McGowan (Winston Salem, N.C.) and Cassandra Perry (Sudbury, Mass.); and freshmen Rebecca Finnigan (Bradford, Mass.), Jennifer Gilbert (Libertyville, Ill.) and Anna Villani (Hanover, Mass.).
A total of 106 student-athletes from women's swimming and diving teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
