ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team completed the final day of Patriot League Championship racing on Saturday at the Naval Academy. Senior Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) led the way for the Crusaders qualifying for the night session with a 13th place finish in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.08 and finished 15th overall.
Senior Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.) and freshman Katherine Shreve (Sturbridge, Mass.) each finished 20th in their respective events. Beaudouin recorded a time of 2:11.16 in the 200 yard backstroke while Shreve finished at 2:30.54 in the 200 yard breaststroke. Junior Laura Webber (Hampden, Mass.) was the top Crusader finisher in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.77 seconds and freshman Anna Villani (Hanover, Mass.) finished the 1,650 yard freestyle at 18:25.84. The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Beaudouin, Webber, freshman Mary Kate Schulte (Des Moines, Iowa) and junior Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) finished with a time of 3:39.87.
Navy took home the Patriot League Championship with a team total of 933.5 points. Colgate took second with 692.5 points followed by Bucknell with 593.
The Patriot League Championship marks the conclusion of the 2011-2012 women's swimming and diving season.
