- The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team returns to competition on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 20-21, when the Crusaders will welcome Clark, WPI and Assumption to the Hart Center for the 11th Annual Worcester City Championship. Friday's session is set to start at 6:00 p.m., while Saturday's first session will start at 10:00 a.m. and the final session will start at 3:00 p.m. The Crusaders have won all of the previous 10 championships.
- Holy Cross claimed the title for the 10th time last season, dominating with a team score of 623 points. Junior Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) was named the Swimmer of the Meet for her record-breaking performances in the 200 IM, 200 Free and 100 fly. The Crusaders broke three meet records in the relay events. The team of 2011 graduate Gael Carter (Tampa, Fla.), junior Katelyn Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine), Kristen Desrosiers and senior Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.) finished first in the 400 medley relay with a record breaking time of 4:09.14. Beaudouin, junior Nicole Passa (East Greenwich, R.I.), junior Gina Mannix (Larchmont, N.Y.) and Carter set a new record time of 1:42.62 in the 200 free relay and the team of Beaudouin, Mannix, Kristen Desrosiers and Carter set a new meet record in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:43.57.
