WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head women's swimming and diving coach Barry Parenteau have announced the Crusaders' schedule for the 2011-2012 season. Holy Cross is scheduled to compete in 11 meets and will host five meets at the Hart Center.
The Crusaders will kick off their season over Columbus Day weekend, as they travel to Fairfield (Oct. 8), then return to the Hart Center to host Lehigh (Oct. 9). Holy Cross will host two other meets in the 2011 portion of the season, including Siena (Oct. 26) and Springfield (Oct. 29).
Holy Cross will also travel to three invitational meets before the New Year. The Crusaders will compete at the New England Catholic Invitational at Boston College (Oct. 21-22), the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University (Nov. 18-20), and the Harold Anderson Invitational at the University of Rhode Island (Dec. 2-3).
The Crusaders will open the 2012 portion of their season by hosting the 11th annual Worcester City Championship meet (Jan. 20-21). Holy Cross will look to continue its undefeated streak, as the Crusaders have won all 10 previous Worcester City Championship team titles. The following week Holy Cross will welcome Providence to the Hart Center for its final home meet of the season (Jan. 28).
In February, Holy Cross will wrap up its regular season by traveling to Bryant (Feb. 4), then will compete in the Patriot League Championship meet in Annapolis, Md. (Feb. 16-18).
