Holy Cross Swimming & Diving Announces Team Awards
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head swimming and diving coach Barry Parenteau has announced team awards for the 2010-2011 season, along with captains for the 2011-2012 season. The Crusaders held a year end awards banquet on Friday, April 15.
Sophomores Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) and Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) were named Most Valuable Swimmer, while senior Sarah Kearns (Marion, Mass.) was named Diver of the Year. Senior Matt Mullaney (Livingston, N.J.) was named Most Improved for the men's team, while senior Gael Carter (Tampa, Fla.) and sophomore Samantha Hullihen (Pelham, N.J.) earned the honor for the women's team. Sophomore Gina Mannix (Larchmont, N.Y.) and freshman Anthony Russo (Stratford, Conn.) were named Rookie of the Year.
Juniors Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.), Lindsay Mlazgar (Bloomington, Minn.) and Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) will serve as captains of the women's team next season, while juniors Michael Burns (East Amherst N.Y.) and Patrick McMahon (Middletown, N.Y.) will serve as captains of the men's team.
