Crusaders Break From Competition, Turn Focus Toward PL Championship

  • The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team concluded the regular season with a dual meet against Bryant on Feb. 5. The Crusaders will take the next week off in preparation of the upcoming Patriot League Championship at Kinney Natatorium on the campus of Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa. 
  • Prior to the start of the meet against Bryant, Holy Cross honored its six seniors for all of their hard work and dedication to the Holy Cross swimming and diving program. Seniors Gael Carter (Tampa, Fla.), Emily Greeke (Hamilton, Mass.), Sarah Kearns (Marion, Mass.), Sam Lenhardt (Duxbury, Mass.), Erin Meegan (Woodbine, Md.) and Molly O'Brien (Bedford, N.Y.) wrapped up their collegiate careers on the hill.
  • Junior Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) was named Patriot League Swimmer of the Week after earning a victory in the 200 fly against Bryant. O'Shea won the event with a time of 2:13.69, earning her third individual win in two meets. O'Shea is the current school record holder in the 200 fly, set at the 2010 Patriot League Championship with a time of 2:09.33. O'Shea recorded her fastest time of the season in the 200 fly at the Terrier Invitational on Nov. 21, 2010 with a time of 2:11.77.
