Crusaders Hit The Road For Two Meets This Week

Schedule: Wednesday, Oct. 27 at Siena,
Loudonville, N.Y., 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 30 at Springfield, Springfield, Mass., 1:00
- The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team (0-2
overall, 0-1 Patriot League) travels to Siena on Oct. 27 and
Springfield on Oct. 30 for dual meet competition this week.
- Last season, the Crusaders hosted both teams at the Hart
Center, falling to Siena by a score of 151-91 and then narrowly
edged out by Springfield by a score of 150.5-149.5.
- Against Springfield last season, the outcome of the meet came
down to the last event, the 200 free relay. The Crusaders entered
the last event of the day needing to win or take second and third
to secure the meet victory. Springfield took first, Holy Cross
finished second and the Pride edged out the Crusaders for third
place and the team win.
- Last year against the Pride, junior Maggie Beaudouin
(Madison, N.J.) placed first in the 200 back with a time
of 2:18.25, senior Gael Carter (Tampa, Fla.)
finished first in the 100 back with a time of 1:03.42 and junior
Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) claimed first in
the 200 fly with a time of 2:14.00. Overall, the Crusaders claimed
first place in seven individual events.
