WORCESTER, Mass. – Thirteen members of the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team have been selected to the 2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Sophomore psychology major Anna Whelan (Westwood, Mass.) headlines the list with a 3.91 grade-point average, while senior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) is named to the honor roll for the fourth time.
Seniors Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) and Rachael Martinez (Chelmsford, Mass.), along with sophomores Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.) and Kendra Kline (Queensbury, N.Y.) were named to the honor roll for the second time in their careers. Named to the honor roll for the first time was senior Lauren Tatro (Charlotte, N.C.), junior Erin Meegan (Woodbine, Md.), sophomore Madison Walsh (Ridgefield, Conn.) and freshmen Jill Chudwick (Farmington, Conn.), Samantha Hullihen (Pelham, N.J.), Nicole Passa (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Laura Webber (Hampden, Mass.).
Bucknell led all Patriot League schools with 25 student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll, while Lafayette finished close behind with 23. American tallied 18 student-athletes for Honor Roll selection, while Holy Cross and Lehigh were tied with 13. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
