  • The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team will return to action for the first time in 2010 against Bryant on Wednesday Jan. 20 in Smithfield, R.I.
  • Holy Cross hosted Bryant last season at the Hart Center, defeating the Bulldogs 150-112. Senior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) led the Crusaders with three individual first place finishes and one relay victory.
  • Holy Cross will host the Worcester City Championship on Jan. 22-23 at the Hart Center. At last year's championship, Holy Cross claimed its eighth title with 599.5 points, while Clark took second with 477.5, WPI took third with 321 and Assumption finished fourth with 206. Sophomore Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) set a new Worcester City Championship meet record in the 200 fly with a time of 2:14.37, senior Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) set a new meet record in the 100 free with a time of 56.33, while sophomore Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J) finished first in the 500 free and set a new championship record with a time of 5:22.41.
  • Holy Cross owns WCC meet records in the 400 medley relay (4:11.32), 200 IM (2:17.23), 200 free relay (1:42.87), 200 medley relay (1:54.22), 400 IM (4:52.88), 200 free (2:02.37), 100 back (1:02.48), 100 breast (1:09.28), 200 fly (2:14.37), 50 free (25.41), three meter diving (240.21), 100 free (56.33), 200 back (2:13.88), 200 breast (2:32.10), 500 free (5:22.41), 100 fly (1:01.78) and the 400 free relay (3:45.38).
