WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) led the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team with a first place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.79 Wednesday night against Siena at the Hart Center. The Crusaders were unable to keep pace with the Saints, falling 151-91 in dual meet competition.
Senior diver Rachael Martinez (Chelmsford, Mass.) continued to lead the diving team as the top performer, finishing second on both the one meter and three meter diving boards with scores of 208.64 and 209.99 respectively. Senior Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) took second in the 100 free with a time of 56.76, while sophomore Maggie Beaudouin (Madison, N.J.) finished second in the 200 back with a time of 2:20.67 and freshman Jill Chudwick (Farmington, Conn.) took second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:22.96.
Both the Holy Cross men's and women's swimming and diving teams will be in action at the Hart Center on Saturday, Oct. 31, hosting Springfield at 1:00 p.m.
