Worcester, Mass. -
Head Coach Bob Neville announced next year's additions to the Holy Cross softball program. Joining the Crusaders for the 2006 season will be Brooke Perrone (Southington, Conn.) and Natalie Anne Cruz (Manalapan, N.J.).
Perrone comes to Holy Cross after spending four seasons at Southington High. The third baseman was a three year member of the varsity softball team under the direction of John Bores. She was selected as a junior player to attend the Connecticut Softball Invitational and hits around .400.
A right-handed pitcher from Red Bank Catholic, Cruz joins the Crusaders after playing four seasons of varsity ball for Tracey Lombardi. She also played for the NY/NJ Beach Girls Gold team, helping it to several championships, including the NJ NSA 14-U and 18-U Championships and the Monmouth County Championship in 2003. Cruz was named the Monmouth Country MVP in 2003.
