KISSIMMEE, Fla. - South Dakota State pitcher Jenna Marston threw a complete game, two-hit shutout, as the Jackrabbits posted a 7-0 victory over the Holy Cross softball team at the Osceola Complex. The Crusaders fall to 1-4 on the season, while South Dakota State improves to 7-6.

The Jackrabbits took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run single by Kiley Schwedhelm. South Dakota State then increased its lead to 5-0 with three more runs in the third inning. Chris Pesqueira had the only RBI of the inning, as all three runs were unearned. The Jackrabbits concluded the scoring with two more unearned runs in the seventh inning.

Junior Lindsey MacNeil (Plymouth, N.H.) took the loss for the Crusaders, allowing two earned runs on five hits in four innings of work. Sophomore Jayme Elliott (Gardena, Calif.) and sophomore Amanda Webster (Kenmore, N.Y.) had the only hits for the Holy Cross offense.
