  • The Holy Cross softball team will continue action at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. this week as the 2013 season is now underway. The Crusaders will play on Wednesday, Mar. 6, against St. Francis (Pa.) and Sacred Heart, Thursday, Mar. 7, against Niagara and Grambling State and Friday, Mar. 8, against St. Francis (Pa.) and Akron.
  • The Crusaders began the season on Sunday, Mar. 3, and hold a current record of 0-4. Freshmen Emily Jarvis (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Colleen Ahern (Northbrook, Ill.) each recorded their first career home run against Pennsylvania (3/4). Junior co-captain Alex Gustafson (Medford, Mass.) also hit a long ball against the Quakers, the seventh of her career.
  • St. Francis (Pa.) currently holds a record of 6-4 and will open action at the Rebel Spring Games today, Mar. 5, against Tennessee-Martin and Grambling State. The Red Flash will then play South Dakota tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. before taking on the Crusaders. Sacred Heart is currently 2-5 and will take on Detroit Mercy before Holy Cross on Wednesday. Niagara is currently 2-7 and will play its first of just four games in Kissimmee against HC. Grambling State is currently 2-11 and Akron is 5-6 on the year and will play Pennsylvania prior to Holy Cross on Friday.
