Softball Places Eight On Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Eight members of the Holy Cross softball team have been selected to the 2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Senior Mandy Correale (Peabody, Mass.), an economics major, was named to the honor roll for the fourth time after earning a 3.58 GPA for the spring semester.
Seniors Elizabeth Foley (Charlton, Mass.) and Amanda Audette (New Bedford, Mass.) were named to the honor roll for the third time, while senior Melissa Pivonka (Tolland, Conn.) earned her second honor. Juniors Erin Fleming (Townsend, Mass.) and Keeley Seniuk (Phoenix, Ariz.), along with sophomore Camille Trainor (Worcester, Mass.) were named to the honor roll for the second time in their careers, while junior Caitlin Belanger (Fall River, Mass.) earned her first honor.
Bucknell led all Patriot League schools with 12 student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll. Lehigh added 10 student-athletes to the list, while Holy Cross and Lafayette followed with eight each. Rounding out the list were Colgate with five and Army with four. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
