WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore first baseman Gwen Reimer (Pottsville, Pa.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 19-25. Reimer hit .500 with four runs scored over six games last week, as the Holy Cross softball team posted a 4-2 record.
Reimer ended the week with a five-game hitting streak, while collecting two hits in each of the four contests against Lafayette over the weekend. She also drew two walks for a .550 on-base percentage, and stole one base. In addition, Reimer posted a .974 field percentage on the week, making 37 putouts while committing only one error.
On the season, Reimer leads the team with a .402 batting average, while scoring 16 runs and stealing 14 bases. Over the course of her collegiate career, she owns a .273 batting average with 33 runs scored and 29 stolen bases.
Holy Cross returns to action on Wednesday, April 28, when it plays host to Bryant at 4:00 p.m.
