WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Shelby Stand (Douglas, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Katherine Donnelly (Londonderry, N.H) have been named to the 2008 All-Patriot League for women's soccer, as voted by the conference's head coaches. Stand and Donnelly are the first Crusaders to earn this honor under head coach Deb Cox.
Stand completed the 2008 season with seven goals and five assists and tied with Donnelly with a team high 19 points. Stand's five assists ties her for eighth on the Holy Cross single-season assist record list. The 2008 season was highlighted by Stand's return to the soccer field after missing the 2007 season due to injury.
Donnelly completes the 2008 season tied for eighth on the Holy Cross single-season goals record list with eight goals. Donnelly finished the season as the leading goal scorer for the Crusaders. Donnelly's eight goals combined with two assists gave her 19 points.
The Crusaders completed the 2008 season with a 4-14-1 overall record and were 2-4-1 in the Patriot League.
