Emma Kurowski Named Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has named Emma Kurowski an assistant women's soccer coach, as announced by head coach Deb Flaherty and athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr.

A 2001 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Kurowski was a four-year letterwinner for the Minutewomen, while having one of the greatest careers in the program's history. She totaled 124 career points on 47 goals and 30 assists, and currently ranks first all-time in goals and second in points at UMass. Kurowski was named the 1999 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and the 1996 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year. She was also a member of both the All-Atlantic 10 first team and the Atlantic 10 Academic Honor Roll for all four years of her career.

Kurowski led the Minutewomen two NCAA Tournament Appearances (1996 & 1997), an NCAA Sweet 16 Appearance (1996) and an Atlantic 10 Championship (1997).

Since February of 2001 Kurowski has been a Freelance Production / Talent Coordinator and Field Producer for ESPN/ABC Sports, NBA, WNBA, X Games, and the Jimmy V. Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The Crusaders kick off the season when they host Providence on Friday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m. This will the mark the first game ever played at the new Linda Johnson Smith Stadium.
