Patriot League Women's Soccer Preseason Poll Released

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's soccer team has been picked to finish seventh in the 2008 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. The defending Patriot League champion, Navy, was picked to finish first as it earned four first-place votes and 88 overall points. Bucknell had eight first-place votes and 86 overall points as it was picked to finish second, followed by Colgate (one first-place vote and 72 overall points), American (three-first place votes and 70 overall points), Lehigh (49 overall points), Army (42 overall points), Holy Cross (23 overall points) and Lafayette (18 overall points).
The Crusaders are set to kick off the 2008 season when they host New Hampshire at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium on Sunday, August 24, at 1:00 p.m.
