Women's Soccer Places Eight On Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. - Eight members of the Holy Cross women's soccer team have been selected to the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced today by the league office. The Patriot League named 86 women's soccer student-athletes to the 2008 honor roll and Holy Cross placed eight student-athletes on the honor roll. This is the third time that senior Casey Boland (Langhorne, Pa.) has received this honor and the second time for senior Tracy Koval (Syracuse, N.Y.).
Junior Megan Metzger (Warwick, N.Y.) was named to the honor roll for the second time in her career, while juniors Justine Cefalu (Greenlawn, N.Y.) and Paige Harrison (Sutton, Mass.) were honored for the first time. Sophomore Kaitlyn Friday (Southborough, Mass.) was named to the honor roll for the second time, while freshmen Micaela Collins (Skillman, N.J.) and Kelsey Dillon (Barrington, R.I.) received the honor for the first time.
To be eligible for this award, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
