Crusaders Lose to Army, 2-1

Worcester, Mass. - Army's Sarah Domme (Farmington, N.M.) scored the unassisted game-winning goal at 75:31 to lead Army over Holy Cross, 2-1, Monday afternoon at the Hart Soccer Field. With the win, the Black Knights advance to the Patriot League playoffs.

The Crusaders opened up scoring early in the first half. Freshman Meighan Kelly (Colts Neck, N.J.) scored her first collegiate-goal at 5:38 , sophomore Meredith Davis (Worcester, Mass.) was credited with the assist.

The Black Knights responded with a goal at 26:54 to tie the game at one-all when junior Claudia Keen (Lexington, Ohio) scored on a deflection from Holy Cross keeper Jessica Petrowicz ( Worcester, Mass.).

Pietrowicz stopped a season-high 13 shots, as freshman Devon Collins (Easthampton, Mass.) halted six shots for the win.

Freshman Katherine Brower (South Windsor, Conn.) and Davis led the Crusaders with two shots a piece.

The game concludes the Crusaders' 2004 campaign, who posted a record of 3-13 overall and 2-5 in the Patriot League.
