Women's Soccer Falls To Boston College, 2-0

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's soccer team fell to Boston College, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon in Chestnut Hill. The Crusaders drop to 0-2, while the Eagles improve to 2-0.
The first goal came mid-way through the first half when Heather Ferron put the ball into the right corner of the net with an assist credited to Katie Coffey at the 19:45 mark. Kerri McNicholas increased the Eagles lead in the second half when she blasted the ball into the far left corner from 18-yards out off a pass from Jenny Maurer.
Sophomore goalie Cashel Scanlon (Bethesda, Md.) made eight saves in the first half for Holy Cross, while sophomore Jessica Pietrowicz (Worcester, Mass.) stopped five shots in the second half. Boston College goalie Arianna Criscione made two saves for her second straight shutout.
The Crusaders return to action when they host Iona at Hart Soccer Field on Wednesday, August 31, at 4:00 p.m.
