WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore goalkeeper Carly McCabe (Barrington, R.I.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 8-15. McCabe helped lead the Holy Cross women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Lafayette in its only game last week.
During the contest with the Leopards, McCabe earned the win while playing all 90 minutes in goal for the Crusaders. She allowed only one goal while making seven saves on the afternoon.
On the season, McCabe now has an overall record of 5-4-1 with 70 saves and an 0.89 goals against average. Her career record stands at 7-13-4 with 156 saves and a 1.08 goals against average.
Holy Cross (6-7-1 overall, 2-2-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 16, when it travels to Harvard for a 7:00 p.m. game.
