Women’s Soccer Topped At Navy, 3-0
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team lost at Navy earlier today by a score of 3-0. With one match left in the regular season, the Crusaders now hold an overall record of 2-12-3 (0-5-1 Patriot League). Navy moves to 11-5-3 (3-2-1 Patriot League) and still looks to find a spot in the Patriot League Tournament after today's action.
Navy struck early and never looked back after a Morgan Dankanich goal in the 11th minute of the match. The Mids added a second goal off a corner kick at 68:57 and then closed the door on any Crusader comeback with a third goal less than two minutes later at 70:12.
Holy Cross had four shots on goal for the afternoon and freshman goalkeeper Carly McCabe (Barrington, R.I.) made 11 saves.
The Crusaders will conclude regular season play when they host Patriot League opponent Lehigh on Saturday, Oct 29. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium.
