Holy Cross Womens Soccer Holds Alumnae Game
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer program welcomed back 26 alumnae for the alumna game held on May 1 at Linda Johnson Soccer Stadium. The game marked the first time many of the returning players competed at the stadium and all enjoyed the environment created by the soccer specific site.
Many participants brought their children who marveled at their mother's skills and competitiveness. A picnic following the event provided an excellent opportunity to reunite with old teammates and to meet the current Crusaders who are preparing for even more success in the fall of 2010. A few members of the program's Patriot League Championship team were on hand to relate their experience and to provide further motivation for a group of players who have that goal on their radar for the fall of 2010.
Erica Cronan (Robbins), '97, was awarded the first annual "Queen of the Hill" award for bravery and talent on the field, and for her overall enthusiasm.
The coaching staff would like to thank all alumnae who attended and look forward to an even larger turnout in the spring of 2011.
