Newton, Mass. - Four members of the No. 16 ranked Boston College women's soccer team each scored a goal to lead the Eagles to a 4-0 victory over Holy Cross on Sunday afternoon. With the loss the Crusaders fall to 2-1 on the season, while the Eagles remain undefeated at 4-0.
The Eagles scored their first goal of the game in the 12th minute when Hannah Cerrone scored her first goal of the season, unassisted. Holy Cross was able to fend off the Boston College offensive attack for the remainder of the first half, heading into the locker room down one goal.
Boston College scored three goals in the second half to close out the game and win 4-0. Victoria DiMartino, Julia Bouchelle and Alyssa Pember each scored for the Eagles. DiMartino recorded her fifth goal of the year.
Senior goalkeeper Jessica Stone (Rockville, Md.) and junior goalkeeper Mary Ferketic (West Hartford, Conn.) combined time for the Crusaders. Stone allowed three goals and made three saves, while Ferketic allowed one goal and made three saves. Boston College goalkeeper Jillian Mastroianni allowed no goals and recorded no saves on just two Holy Cross shots.
The Crusaders return to Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday, Sept. 9 to host Providence at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
