Crusader Rowing Places 23 On Academic All-League Team

WORCESTER, Mass. - Twenty-three members of the Holy Cross women's rowing team have been selected to the 2006 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. The Crusaders' 23 total selections to the team were the most from any school in the conference. Leading Holy Cross was senior Karin Campbell (Pittsburgh, Pa.), who posted a 3.85 grade point average during the spring semester, good for the ninth-best mark in the conference.
Joining Campbell on the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Katie Bisordi (Yonkers, N.Y.), Abby Talcott (Manhasset, N.Y.) and Jane Webster (Carver, Mass.); juniors Allison Humphreys (Marlton, N.J.), Megan Russell (Andover, Mass.), Abigail Scully (Andover, Mass.) and Amy Urquhart (Durham, N.H.); sophomores Jamie Carusi (Locust Valley, N.Y.), Maya Clarke-Jones (Philadelphia, Pa.), Alexandra Dempsey (Winter Park, Fla.), Mary Dixon (St. Louis, Mo.), Valerie Jackson (East Lyme, Conn.), Meghan Quinn (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Alyssa Trometter (Gladwyne, Pa.); and freshmen Laura Andrews (Marlborough, Mass.), Clare Bracikowski (Nashville, Tenn.), Kristyn Comei (Methuen, Mass.), Johanna Cubelli (Boonton Township, N.J.), Kelly DiMascio (Marshfield, Mass.), Alana DiPesa (Bolton, Conn.), Maura Hogan (Holliston, Mass.) and Emily Joseph (Leominster, Mass.).
A total of 77 student-athletes from rowing teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester, and be a key member of her team.
