Women's Rowing Places Fifth in Preseason Poll

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's rowing team was picked fifth in the Patriot League preseason poll, as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon. Bucknell was chosen to repeat as Patriot League Champions earning 29 points and getting five first place votes. Navy, the 2005 Champions, placed second on the list with 28 points and five first place votes. The Crusaders earned a total of 10 points in the poll. Holy Cross placed fifth at the 2006 Patriot League Women's Rowing Championship.
The Crusaders travel to Camden, N.J. and the Jesuit Invitational for first their competition of the spring on Saturday, March 17. Holy Cross will race against teams from Boston College, Georgetown, St. Joseph's and Loyola. The 2007 regatta marks the eighth time the annual event will be held.
