Worcester, Mass.- The Holy Cross women's rowing team tied for fourth place in the Patriot League Championship event on Sunday, April 29 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts. Bucknell came in first place with a total of 30 points. Navy and Colgate followed with 24 and 16 points respectively. Lehigh tied with Holy Cross for fourth place and totaled 10 points each.
The varsity eight boat finished in fifth place with a time of 7:05.88, giving them three points. Bucknell was first, completing the race at 6:34.47, which earned them 15 points. Navy was second at 6:39.53, followed by Colgate at 6:48.94 and Lehigh with a time of 6:56.17. The second varsity eight boat crossed the finish line in third place in 7:04.04, adding six points to the Crusader's total. Bucknell finished first with a time of 6:42.83. Navy was second at 6:48.39 and Colgate (7:12.39) and Lehigh (7:14.48) closed out the race. Holy Cross finished in fifth place in the varsity four event with a time of 8:17.41, giving them one point. Bucknell took another first place finish at 7:32.1. Navy finished second at 7:37.66, followed by Colgate at 7:40.71 and Lehigh at 8:01.67.
The Holy Cross women's rowing team returns to the water on May 5 for the ECAC Metro Cup Championship in Worcester, Massachusetts.
