WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's rowing team faced off against Tufts and Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Sunday morning on Lake Quinsigimond. The crews raced on flat water with a tailwind which decreased during the day.
In the varisty eight, Holy Cross placed first with a time of 7:23.90. The Crusaders' second boat came in second in the race with a time of 7:30.96, followed by WPI at 7:35.85. The only other event of the day was the varsity four plus coxswain. In that race, Holy Cross won with a time of 8:28.10, with Tufts placing second in a time of 8:50.55.
The Holy Cross women's rowing team is back in action for the Patriot League Championship on Sunday, April 29, on Lake Quinsigimond.
