Crusaders Compete At Jesuit Invitational

March 19, 2005

CAMDEN, N.J. - The Holy Cross men's and women's rowing teams made the trip to New Jersey this past Friday to participate in the annual Jesuit Invitational Regatta, held on the Cooper River. The mild weather, sunshine and flat water made this regatta a great way to start off the spring season.

While the competition has been on the water for a few weeks, Holy Cross has been forced to stay inside because of the ice that still blankets Lake Quinsigamond. Although the rowing team has not had as much water time as their competitors, they were more than ready to step up to the challenge. The eight boats that made up the Holy Cross team this past weekend have been preparing for their spring season since the fall and all eight boats performed exceptionally well.
